Working with Press Your Beat follows one clear path: you tell us about your release, we quote it honestly, we review your files for technical risks before anything is manufactured, production runs at a trusted European pressing plant under our coordination, you approve what matters at every gate, and your records arrive checked and properly packed. One person manages the whole journey — in English or Spanish — and you always know exactly where your project is.

The nine steps

One connected process, with a clear approval point before each irreversible stage.

  1. Tell us about your release.

    Format, quantity, packaging ideas, timing — or just the concept. You don't need everything decided; most first projects start with questions, and answering them is part of the service, not a favour.

  2. Get a clear, itemised quote.

    Every option explained with its cost implication, realistic timelines, no expiry-countdown tricks. Take your time — a quote is information, not a contract.

  3. We review your files.

    Audio and artwork are checked for common technical risks — side lengths, formats, bleed, templates, resolution — before production, while fixing anything is still free. You receive a plain-language report of anything that needs attention. This is a risk check, not a mastering service, and we'll tell you honestly if your files need professional attention.

  4. Deposit confirms your production slot.

    Your project enters the plant's schedule when the deposit is paid — we'll tell you exactly which date depends on it, so nothing waits by surprise.

  5. Production begins in Europe.

    Cutting, plating, pressing, printing — in-house at our partner plant, monitored by us. You never chase a factory; you ask the person who already knows your release.

  6. You approve your test pressing (vinyl).

    You hear your actual record at home before the full run is manufactured. Take the time you need — and if something isn't right, we manage the correction with the plant until it is.

  7. Full manufacturing.

    The approved version is pressed, printed and assembled. If anything changes on the plant's side, you know immediately — not at the end.

  8. Quality control and packing.

    Records checked and packed properly for transport — the unglamorous step that decides whether corners arrive sharp.

  9. Delivery, wherever you need it.

    To you, your distributor, or split between destinations — with shipping estimated in your quote and confirmed before dispatch. Any remaining balance is settled as agreed in your quote, with no surprises between the two.

How long does all of this take?

Vinyl typically takes around 8–10 weeks from file approval, depending on configuration, plant workload, approvals and seasonality. CDs and cassettes are usually faster — we confirm realistic windows for your exact configuration in the quote. Two honest notes from experience: most delays in this industry come from file corrections and slow approvals rather than the pressing itself (which is why steps 3 and 6 exist), and if your release date is ever at risk, you'll know immediately.

Frequently asked questions about how it works

Do I need to have everything decided before contacting you?

No. Format and a rough quantity are enough to start. The quote conversation is where options get explained — with prices attached — so you decide with full information.

What do I need to prepare before production can start?

Final audio (uncompressed WAV, one file per side for vinyl or a DDP for CD), artwork on the correct templates (we supply them), your confirmed specs, and the deposit. We check all of it with you — nothing is assumed.

Can I change something after production starts?

It depends on the stage. Before cutting and printing, most things can change; after, changes mean real costs. We'll always tell you exactly what a change means at your project's current stage before you decide.

What happens if something goes wrong with my order?

You hear it from us first, in plain language, with what it means and what we're doing about it. Problems are rare precisely because of the checks above — but when they happen, managing them is literally our job.
